ARDES electronic ear tags are conceived to suit cattles, sheeps, goats and swines breeders’ needs. They are available in two sizes, in two technologies: HDX and FDX. The radio frequency identification permits to highlight the animal identification number, implementing solutions on the field: herd management software, milking parlor assistance, automatic weighing system, automatic animals count, automatic feed distribution…
Approuved by International Committee for Animal Recording, ARDES electronic ear tags were conceived in collaboration with the French Polytechnique Institute of Grenoble, expert in RFID technology, to guarantee an important reading distance and performances reliability.
ARDES electronic eartags are easily detected by readers. In fact, the distance for the reader detection is more important with ARDES ear tags than standards one.
Contrary to the competition, all ARDES electronic ear tags deliver constant reading performances. The assembly process between transponder and plastic envelopes, made by ARDES, doesn’t spoil the signal performance produced by the electronic ear tag.
Maximum reading distance Between the electronic eartag and the reader |

Readers’ type on the market | ARDES electronic ear tags | |
Fixed readers | 84 cm | +5% compared to the competition |
Portable readers | 33 cm | +9% compared to the competition |
Reading distance test for ARDES electronic ear tags was made by the RFTLAB® |
The International Committee for Animal Recording certified ARDES electronic ear tags, in keeping with ISO 11784 & 11785 international rules. This certification, a quality token, ensures ear tags functioning with all ISO standards readers on the market.
We advice you on how tagging your animals giving you bests practices for the ear tags positioning. ARDES applicators are developed for an effective and reliable tagging. However, ARDES electronic ear tags matched to the majority of applicators from the market.
Encoding and marking
ARDES electronic ear tags were previously encoded, the identification number is registered in electronic chip from the ear tag. They are also available blank or printed by laser.
